Trying to break my habit of morning posts. WEATHER! We had a cold front and a warm front collide right over us today. Warm front was here first. We have enjoyed a series of warm spring like days that made a valiant attempt to turn all the snow into fog, until this cold front moved in today. First, the fog actually cleared up for the first time in almost 3 days which let the sun come out to play. Then, the wind started up with 35 mph gusts. The air turned cold and the temp went from 45° to 34 ° in a very short period of time. Then the clouds came. Next thing we know there is a hail storm. None of the hail that fell where I witnessed these dueling fronts was large enough to damage anything. Then the rains came. A fast heavy rain. After that, the sun popped out for a few more minutes. Then, suddenly, it turned dark and gray and we had a mini blizzard!! The snow didn't accumulate at all, but the snow was heavy enough to cause white-out conditions! It was, in a word, AWESOME!! So sayeth someone at work, inside a warm building. I imagine anyone caught out and about during all this weather had a few choice words for the storm. None of which would sound anything like the word awesome. All this wonderful weather happened a few hours ago. It was a beautiful weather recipe that isn't served up by Mother Nature very
often. Bet there was a rainbow dessert served up as well, sometime after the storm passed.
Since I was working I couldn't go outside and check. I'm home from work now, the slies are clear and it's FREEZING on the Front Porch! We-Gues claim it's 29° right now with fair skies, 43% humidity and brisk northwesterly winds clocking in at 13 mph with 23 mph gusts, giving us a wind chill of 19°. My grammar sucks. I can barely follow what I just reread. Ain't doin' it again. Here's a WIP. It cannot really convey how COLD it is outside!
