Hornets Spiders And The Oogie Factor

I had one visitor to the Front Porch this BEAUTIFUL summer morning.
Your eyes are fine. It's the photo. And no, my visitor is not IN the photo. This is a classic example of the kind of pictures I get when I mix me, a camera and an attempt to photograph anything that brings out the oogie in me. In this case, it was a slow moving hornet that fooled me into thinking it wanted its picture taken. Camera can't focus when I'm running for my life.
Since I had no other visitors, I decided to go visiting. Finally I found someone to pop in on. But the oogie factor was in play again.
My timing was off or Spiders was perfect. Each time I pressed the shutter button he bolted for his doorway. Much like I did with the hornet. When he finally stepped back out on his Front Porch one last time, he moved so fast my involuntary flinch response kicked in and pretty much blurred the picture. Today was not a very satisfying day for me and Camera. I think Camera is rather put out about it.
It is 63° of a delicious summer morning weather recipe, which includes calm winds, 84% humidity and fair skies. The winds aren't really calm. There is a bit of a breeze that feels so wonderful I would love to go back out and put my face in it, but I must go to work now.
Have a grand day Travelers!
