This picture looks so much like the WIP yesterday. Except it's not frosty out at all! It's 51°!! Yesterday we had 27° at this time! Coulda sat out there all morning this morning if work wasn't digging a knuckle into my back. There are Nuthatches galore in the trees. They did a pretty good job at hiding from me. It took a video and a screenshot to capture the photo evidence. Fussy little guys.
They are engaged in constant territorial battles at the moment.
I think I know what they're after. I kept seeing these tiny little white things floating in the air. My first thought was "SNOW!" Then I remembered 51° and came to my senses. Next thought, seed pods of some kind. No, movement was too precise for a free floating seed pod. Wait, they're flying! Bugs! We are inundated with either whoolly aphids or whiteflies. I'm thinking whoolly aphids. An opinion gleaned from an all to brief and minuscule Google research attempt. So I won't be swearing to it any time soon.
