New Snow and Spoonerisms
Yep. The WIP definitely changed clothes this morning! Last nights storm looks to have left us maybe 3 inches of freshly fallen snow. With a temperature of 28°, it was most tolerable on the Front Porch. It's a busy WIP. At 3 o'clock we have the lady across the street shoveling her driveway. At 9 o'clock we have the gentleman next door cleaning the snow off his vehicle. Then, there is OBACE right behind Camera, trying not to gag. Those of you with sensitive gag reflexes, forgive me, but the neighbor at 9 o'clock was also engaged in his favorite early morning hack 'n' yak activity. Blechhhh. I've adjusted my timing for the porch report WIP, but, quite obviously, not enuf adjustments have been made. Somehow, no matter what time I step out, there he is... ahhh ... gag reflex kicked in just thinkin' about him .... ughhh. *HEAVY SIGH* I'll figure it out. Because this is my day off, I can step outside when the man is gone and try again! Right now, to engage in one of my fav activities - spoonerisms (newly learned word!) - I am going to ready the necessary winter garb needed to go out and "snovel show"!! Yeah! A spoonerism! :) A very brief Google search, (translation- don't believe it, as it has not been verified and NEVER trust Wikipedia for the truth. Just have fun with it!) says that Spoonerisms are named after an Oxford professor, Reverend William Archibald Spooner (1844–1930) who suffered from the impediment. Legend (urban perhaps? Or not.) has it that he once berated a student with “You have hissed all my mystery lessons and tasted the whole worm!” That's... that's just... brilliant! I LOVE SPOONERISMS!! May all the spoonerisms that wander in and out of your life be as amusing as Reverend Spooner's! LIVE LAUGH and LOVE my most treasured Fellow Travelers! And may happiness be your most prevalent state of being!!
