Good Evening from the Front Porch. Autumn nights are AWESOME!!! Cool and fragrant, with crickets and others such music makers singing their hearts out. Totally marvelous moment on the Porch steps. Then I got stupid. I moseyed off the steps and was wondering around the yard, in the DARK, when a breeze, one that felt so good, moved a leaf on the walk behind me. The scrabbling noise it made combined with a silent and unseen leaf that had the audacity to land on my camera/face at the exact same time, had my brain convinced I was under attack. Adrenal gland slammed into high gear. So, too, did my feet. I was in the house in record time with only a couple of Porch-step bruised toes and a chipped fingernail. Now, how did I know the "attack" was from a couple of leaves? My ears recognized the sound, my face recognized the feel, of the attacking leaves. Almost immediately. But that was not fast enuf to prevent my feet from shifting into high gear and taking off at warp speed. My brain couldn't get "WHOA!" down to my feet until they were already inside the house, dragging me along with them. So much for a peaceful moment. Well, that's not fair to say. I did have a wonderfully peaceful moment. But, just like a good film with a horrible ending, it totally ruins the movie. *Heavy Sigh* My Halloween Window didn't quite work out as I had envisioned. But, what the hey---
I still like it!
Goodnight my Fellow Travelers. May your Dreams be sweet and your awakening gentle.
