I Got Nuttin' Part 13

I was hoping if I waited I'd get something, but I got nuttin'. Tonight the temp is 54°. With the vrbl 7 mph winds and 16 mph gusts, it felt really good on the Porch. 51% humidity and fair skies round out the current weather stats. Fair? Looked cloudy to me. It is very dark out there. Can't see ANY stars. Nah, I don't feel right slinging a disparaging epithet at the We-Guessers when I can't be sure it's warranted. I wish the WIP could convey how good it felt outside.
Fake candle fake flower. I like even so!
As Ringo Starr so beautifully sang it-
"Now it's time to say good night
Good night, sleep tight
Now the sun turns out his light
Good night, sleep tight
Dream sweet dreams for me (Dream sweet)
Dream sweet dreams for you."

I Got Nuttin' Part 12

The color was nice when I stepped out on the Front Porch. The WIP my Camera took tried to capture it but couldn't. 37°, partly cloudy skies and calm winds. A brisk October day. As the title warned, I got nuttin' today. Te quiero mis hermanos y hermanas del universo.
A seagull flew overhead while I was outside. Does that count as a visitor? I think that counts as a visitor. No time to pose for a picture tho.

I Got Nuttin' Part 11

The Wip, as viewed from inside the Front Porch door. Very wet out there. Camera and Phone both put on the brakes and told me not to even think about it. So I stopped thinking about it and kept them both dry today. 49° with 86% humidity, rain and 13 mph winds with 22 mph gusts. Windy! Thank goodness for the weather. It lets me babble about something when, really, I got nuttin'. Phone just scared the wind outta me! :) Word of the day- ensorcell, meaning 'to bewitch'. Ok. Tea tastes really good today. My taste buds are pleased. And a bit shocked. They have gotten used to being abused with coffee in the morning. (Still in denial. I should snap out of it soon. I think.) Harney and Sons, Orange Pekoe loose tea is YUMMY!!! I've drank Orange Pekoe forever and I've never tasted one this good! Enuf with the tea already. We're done here cus I got nuttin for ya. May the tea in your life always delight and satisfy!! Ich liebe dich, my universum Reisende Begleiters. I hope I didn't just insult all. I know what I'm trying to say. But MUCH is lost in translation when you use Google as a foreign language teacher! :)

I Got Nuttin' Part 10

I got nuttin' today. Here's the ever posted WIP.
It cannot convey the 43°, 68% humidity, 5 mph winds or fair... fair?... FAIR!? Really!!?? *heavy sigh* although the cloud layer is a very thin one, it really is overcast at the moment. Maybe it doesn't show on the radar. Look at me, making excuses for the We-Guessers.
May your day be Sweet, Simple and Superb!!

Gordy's Fault

No time to play here today! I was playing with Gordy and lost track of time. Doncha ha... no. No H bomb. I feel too good to drop H bombs right now. Except I'm hungry. Must eat. I can't take a grumbling stomach to work. She embarrasses me when she gets like that. Here is today's WIP. It's trying very hard to convey the current 37°, 67% humidity, vrbl 5 mph winds and overcast skies... overcast they say? Is that not blue sky I see amongst those clouds? Overcast kinda sorta means, to me anyway, that the sky is completely cloudy. Partly cloudy or mostly cloudy is what I saw when I stepped out on the Front Porch. Uh-huh... it's happenin',
 LIARRRRRRS!!!!
:)
Next up, the mornings visitors. Well, they were across the street, but that's in the neighborhood!!
Finally, Gordy with his new staff.
It's all his fault I got no time left this morning!
Te quiero, Travelers!
If I had orange or green toe socks, Gordy would have feet!

Front

Good morning from the Front Porch. The WIP is coming to you from the street in FRONT of the Front Porch. If I can figure out how to add several more FRONTS to this post I will. But I must have left my wit out on the FRONT Porch. Too lazy to go out FRONT to get it.  :)  39°, 6 mph breeze, 60% humidity and partly cloudy skies. FRONT. The We-Guessers and I concur. I was out FRONT for 15 or 20 minutes before the fingers ordered us back inside. FRONT FRONT. Beautiful morning. I had no visitors out FRONT. No photo ops. There were birds flitting everywhere. Absolutely none of them would fly in FRONT and pose for me. FRONT FRONT FRONT. The most amusing was a Bluejay. All spring and summer I heard Bluejays around us in FRONT. But other than a split second glimpse when they flew from FRONT tree to FRONT tree, I never actually saw any of them. FRONT. This morning I heard what I thought was a new bird in the FRONT neighborhood. Turns out it was a mouthy Bluejay with a FRONT beak full of breakfast. And I mean FULL of breakfast. Whatever was dangling from his beak looked huge. Sure made him sound funny. Someone needs to tell him not to speak with his mouth full. Not only is it unsightly, more importantly, it's a choking hazard.  FRONT FRONT.
I got nuttin' this morning. You know what that means... We're done here. FRONT.  Wait. I do have a fungus picture for you. Same specimen as yesterday,
but this one popped up overnight in the neighbors FRONT yard.
And of course a leaf picture taken in our own FRONT yard.
No, your eyes are probably fine. The FRONT pictures are blurry. Forgot to clean the FRONT lens. Whoopsie:)
Te quiero, my adored Fellow Travelers. May your camera always be focused on the FRONT things in life!!!
FRONT! :)

Nose Hairs

The weather confuses me. Why can I go out into this mornings 35°, spend 30 minutes moseying around the yard, take 80 pictures and 2 videos before my fingers get cold? Yesterday the temp was 43° and I took 11 pictures and my fingers froze in 5 minutes. My head is threatening me with an ache if I don't stop pondering it RIGHT NOW. It was breezy yesterday. As I recall it felt rather good. Except for my fingers. We're done here! Moving on. I feel I must share, I admit I have no clue why, that the plucking of ones nose hairs can be a startlingly PAINFUL experience. One can go weeks, even months without any pain worth noting, other than the slight sting one comes to expect with such a grooming procedure. Then, out of the blue, the grasping, yanking and removing of one particularly, innocuous looking hair generates an agony so severe as to produce a howl that any wolf in the area would have been moved to answer! An Academy Award worthy vocalization, followed immediately by several minutes of loud panting, unsightly gasping, and completely worthless dancing about, all in a vain attempt to outrun the pain! That was me. Yesterday. The entire circumference of my face tried to compress down into the size of a quarter. At the same time, both eyes decided to open the flood gates, releasing their entire reserve of tears. This deluge easily managed to squeeze thru the folds of flesh compacted around what used to be my face. Then came the SNEEZES. Oh yeah. No less than half a dozen explosive sneezes detonated from a deeply buried nose. With each loud and vulgar sounding sneeze, I was uncontrollably propelled backwards around the bathroom. I imagine I might have looked and sounded much like an inflated balloon whose neck is released untied. This painful series of explosions manage to put my face back to rights. I suppose I should be grateful for that. All this for vanity's sake!? *heavy sigh* Yep. Next week I'll be plucking again. *heavy sigh*

I had a visitor this morning! He posed for a picture, too! My camera tried it's crippled best to capture this lovely visitors good side.

I got the 'LOOK' for a bit, before I was judged harmless enough to ignore.
May all your visitors be as delightful as Downy!
Love and Happiness to you, my Fellow Travelers!

Check out the fungus I found growing in the M Woods this morning!

Leaf Picture!
A Good Day to you, Travelers!
I'm finally done!:)

Gordon Glimmer

Good evening from the Front Porch. It's 47° and delicious out. I recently started a Jack O' Lantern collection that, quite frankly, is not going so well. Halloween is only 8 days away and no one seems to be showing off their pumpkins yet. Of the 3 posted, only one is a genuine pumpkin. Still, even the "not so genuine" pumpkins can be fun. Here is another of the "not so genuine" Jack O' Lanterns. He graciously agreed to pose on the Porch for me when it got dark. I'm hoping he will agree to pose again on Halloween night. He's no where near what I had in mind when I started this project, but still, I like him.
Meet Gordon Glimmer!
He's a (fake) gourd and he glimmers! Get it?! ...yeah?...
... ah c'mon, I hadta name him something!
Gordy needs a staff.  Doncha think?
All good wizards carry staffs!

Yellow Mushroom

Slept in, got up, tripped upstairs, stepped outside, enjoyed breeze, focused eyes, saw nothing, pointed camera, snapped picture, refocused eyes, saw nothing, closed eyes, enjoyed breeze, stepped inside, checked window, saw nothing, snapped picture, opened backdoor, stepped outside, closed eyes, enjoyed breeze, opened eyes, saw nothing, pointed camera, snapped picture, stepped inside, moseyed downstairs, made coffee, started computer, sat down, loaded pictures, viewed photos...
and that's when I found the pictures I took of a fungus yesterday!! Check out this huge mushroom!!

I was almost to work when I saw it from the road. I laid down a bit of rubber on the asphalt screeching to a halt so I could take it's picture. And here I thought fungus pics were over for the season!
The weather is thus: 45°, 8 mph breezes with 20 mph wind gusts, 68% humidity and overcast skies. And let me tell ya, the breeze feels so good. Think I'll go out and enjoy them some more :) Love and Happiness to you, and may the breezes in your life always feel wonderful!!
Almost forgot the WIP.
Today's WIP comes to you from the Back Porch. A Porch as beloved as the Front but I seem to neglect it terribly. Must remedy that. My wind chimes were singing a soft and lovely tune in my wonderful M Woods this morning...

Melancholy Morning

The M Woods...

Good morning. It is wet on the Front Porch. Rained so hard last night the screen lighting up on the phone woke me with a flood warning in the area. Not raining right now but the Fanny just couldn't get into planting on the Porch. Instead we roamed the yard for much longer than we should have. A melancholy mood prevails this morning. 63° of warm today.
Good ole Trusty. Waiting patiently to give me a ride to work. My short legged steed ain't afraid of puddles.

A Leaf Picture. I kinda like this one. Found it when I went to see if my spider came back. I haven't seen him since he posed for me on the 18th. It occurs to me that I didn't share that picture here. I must, as he was a great visitor in spite of the Wiggins meter warning.
He was dangling between two trees in the M Woods.
I never would have seen him except for the leaves stuck in his web.

One last picture from this morning. I hope it posts well. It's a panoramic view of the large Pine in the front yard. He's part of the M Woods family of trees. The Pines in this area are suffering from a disease or fungus that is killing them. So many trees were cut down in the neighborhood this past summer. A sad but necessary thing. I'm gonna miss this one, when he must go.
Have a Brilliant, Bright and Beautiful day my Fellow Travelers. That flows a little better than Enchanted, Exciting and Enjoyable day, but still not as well as Great, Grand and Glorious. I'll keep working on it.
Je t'aime mes freres et soeurs de l'univers!!!

Denied

It's 57° on the Front Porch. It's also raining. And dark. My Fanny says "it's all good if I'm not planted on the Porch step this morning."  My head says, "DENIED!"  Here is my morning thus far--- wake to alarm only to discover it's set earlier than intended. Fall asleep with alarm in hand. Wake to phone alarm. Sweet little tune the phone calls Morning Flower. A nice, gentle second awakening. I feel good! Throw the covers back, and proceed to exit the bed in one fluid, graceful move. Yeah, I got this. Except for two things. Two simultaneously occurring "things". First is the sound of my alarm clock smashing into the wall where I unceremoniously flung it when I threw back the covers. It somehow survived. Second, I tangle my foot in the blanket during my graceful launch from the bed, resulting in a body slam into the closet door. Bam! BAM!! I also survived. Closet door is intact, no scar on the opposite wall from the clock attack and only Noche' was disturbed from her sleep by my involuntary calisthenics. But that's not all folks! The unexpected exercise had an instant effect on my bladder. My full bladder. In a mad dash to get to the restroom, my right pinky toe said Good Morning to the bookcase in the hall. This prompted my right hand to say Good Morning to the picture frame on the wall above the bookcase. The frame survived (I would have been some kind of upset if it hadn't), the bookcase appeared completely undisturbed by it's encounter and my toe has taken "throbbing" to a whole new level. Now, EVERYTHING in my path is getting the squinty-eye. All things are being viewed as potential suspects in a conspiracy to ruin my GOOD MORNING!! Which brings me back to "DENIED!" The porch looks slippery, the steps look like a tumble waiting to happen and the dark promises lots of unseen obstacles waiting to crack toes. This would be a good day to CAREFULLY crawl back into bed and stay there! May all the obstacles in your paths be easily seen and harmlessly managed, my Fellow Travelers, for the Universe is chock full of them!! Look Listen and Learn much! It's really very easy to do, should you wish to do so!! Love and Happiness to you, ALWAYS!

Popsicle

Around 6:30 am
I checked the weather while still inside, 41°. I think to myself, cool, a warm morning.  WRONG! Stepped outside and turned into a Popsicle!!!  BRRRR! I took a grand total of eleven pictures! Of that eleven, at least half or ALL will be blurry and/or lousy shots that will meet the delete button. So my head thinks we'll go out and take some more. My body reacted by exploding into goosebumps at the mere thought and promptly promised my head that finding some way to make it pay dearly wouldn't be too difficult if it persisted in thinking that way. Usually when the mind and body go to war, the mind wins and the body just gets dragged along for the ride. My head conceded this morning. I guess it's not in the mood to go out only to have my body find some way to make it look the fool for it. My head has accepted that my body can do exactly that at any given moment. Ok then, Head, "How about when the sun comes up? " Body, no cutis anserina or horripilation outbreak. Head, "So is that a yes or a no?" Body, still no cutis anserina or horripilation outbreak. Head, "Right. I'll get back to you."  ...

Around 10 am
Warm! Body's happy now!
 Leaf Picture
*heavy sigh*
I got nuttin' better for ya. I wanna blame the camera.
Can't seem to find any "real" pumpkin Jack o' Lanterns. I'll keep lookin'!!
May your body and mind always step together, my Fellow Travelers.
Live Laugh and Love!
That's what keeps those Dreams alive!!!

Punkin' Days

The colors around the Front Porch are so pretty! Yes, we have passed "peak", however, is not the WIP beautiful this morning!? The very same WIP sent to you dozens of times. I have a stiff neck. Just throwing that out there. I'm trying very hard not to say it.... I'm saying it!! If it's not one thing it's another!!! *HUMPHF* Done with the complaining now. The morning is beautiful. A stiff neck can't take that from me!! 53° of perfection out there. Might get some rain today. Coconut oil smells good. I need to clean my glasses. Wow the monitor is bright. Where's the brightness control? No external controls. Leaving the page is out of the question or we'll have a repeat of yesterdays report. *heavy sigh* I got nuttin'. OH! I have decided to try a different collection! Jack 'o lanterns!!! I only have a couple of weeks to collect and I think people will be a little more understanding if they catch me with my camera pointed at their house. AND, I'm fully prepared to collect ANY Jack 'o lanterns. Plastic, ceramic, giant blowup beasties inflating the owners electric bill. Any and all! So, first up, the lady's across the street!
Let the collecting begin!!
Although this next is not a Jack 'o lantern, my wonderful Fellow Travelers of the Universe, my wish for you today is
 HAPPY PUNKIN" DAYS!!

Apps And The Cynic

It was after 10 this morning before I stepped out on the Front Porch. WOW! I am not used to that light in the sky!!! My face went into a severe squinched squint mode and flat refused to come out of it! It got STUCK that way! I gave up trying to see what my pictures might look like. Couldn't focus to save my life!!..... .... .... .... ....
Well. Talk about distracted. It is now a bit before 6 pm and I am just now getting back to this. Truth be told, I thought I had finished and posted it. Oh, the head. I can say that for the most part I'm quite comfortable in there. Plenty of room, that's for sure!.... .... ..... .....
Ok. DISTRACTED MUCH!!?? I got a sweet text from S inquiring about the absence of a report today. Finally getting back to it at around 9 pm. The major distraction today was my computer. Windows 10 SUCKS!!!!!  I used to love PC's. NOT USER FRIENDLY AT ALL ANY MORE!!!!! I have to Google how to use the blasted thing almost daily! And Google gives you a GAJILLION different answers, not all of them anywhere remotely similar, so it's a crapshoot with terrible odds!!! As a result you are forced to read a GAJILLION different answers, VERY FEW OF WHICH ARE SHORT AND TO THE POINT!!! And almost ALL of the answers conclude with"If that doesn't work try..." AARRRGGGGHHHH!!! Almost ALL the problems are APP related. Either you don't have one so you must choose one to download. Did I say ONE? Right, ONE of a GAJILLION!! OR, you have one and it falls WAY short in the performance category, AND!!! it conflicts with ANOTHER app or apps causing issues in completely unrelated areas in the black cosmos of the computer. And don't get me started on the CONSTANT UPDATES that the computer operating system and EVERY SINGLE APP insists you MUST HAVE!! A GUARANTEE your computer will require you to visit GOOGLE, AGAIN!!! AND AGAIN!!! AND AGAIN!!! TO FIX ALL THE CONFLICTS, AGAIN!!! Not to mention trying to find moved or missing data because the UPDATES MESS WITH YOUR FILES!! All while developing a massive monitor headache in the process!!! Whoever came up with this system- MAY THEY ALL ROT IN COMPUTER HELL!!!!! And L, honey, I don't know how you do it, but THEY DON"T PAY YOU ENOUGH to do what you do!! ....
Ok, I feel better... By the way I had a visitor to the Front Porch this afternoon!
Is she not lovely! Tried VERY hard to come in the front door with me. Took quite a while to convince her to get out, that certain death awaited indoors and her chances of surviving for a while longer were greater outdoors.
May all your computer time be pleasant and efficient. The cynic in me says that AIN"T gonna happen!!! Love and Happiness to you, my adored Travelers!
UPDATE?... UPDATE!!
YEP!!! YEP!!! Went to shut down my computer and WHAT should it say!!!???? "UPDATE AND SHUTDOWN"!!!!! HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!! Feel free to insert HOSTILE face here. Smiley is nowhere to be found!!!

I Got Nuttin Part 9

The WIP cannot relay to you the 34° of cold the Front Porch is experiencing right now. My hands froze quickly. The rest of me took pity and brought them back into the house, a.s.a.p. Brrrrr. Yesterday's 29° didn't feel as cold as today's temp. How can that be? This is a mystery that's been picking at me for a while now. Got nuttin' but pictures for ya. Te quiero, Travelers.
The underwhelming Leaf Picture.

Yesterday

Yesterday's turkeys

Yesterday, leaf peeping

A nice ride yesterday. Thank you Baby Sis. I won't be biting the heads off my own species anytime soon:)
