We're having a heat wave. 49° on the Front Porch as of 6 am. Here's a 6 am WIP:
I know, right? Can't see a thing. Or hear a thing. The Front Porch is being battered by 18 mph winds that are gusting at 40 mph. The storm door was almost ripped outta my hand when I opened it. The storm sounds awesome, although somewhat scary. We're gonna have downed trees all over the state. We lost power for 1 second at 5 am. Just long enuf to reset the microwave clocks to 0. The rain out there isn't falling. It's flying horizontal. Came right in the open door. Got me and Camera wet. I'll take another WIP when it lightens up a bit. Maybe from the window instead of the Front Porch...
Here's a 7 am WIP:
Went out on the Front Porch, which is now enjoying 48°, 86% humidity, overcast and breezy. That's what it says. Breezy. The winds are clocked at 21 mph with 43 mph gusts. Breezy? The word breeze conjures up a gentle wind that lifts the hair and caresses the face. That is NOT the wind visiting the Front Porch this morning. There's nothing gentle about it. I'll admit it's not a hurricane, but breezy? The We-Gues need to get their thesaurus out. Windy or blustery, even gusty is a better choice of word in this case. Done. Obviously I got nuttin. Again. Humphf... A good day to you, Travelers. I always got at least that for you. Along with the hope that Love and Happiness find you today and all days. Also, I'm hoping, so much, that a certain dream, for a certain person, comes true for them, soon. Soon.
One more thing, I had a visitor. He was sitting in the big tree by the street. Camera is losing it's little motor. Getting it to zoom and focus is quite the struggle for it now. But I am reluctant to get a new one. Camera has been such a good companion. I'll stick with Camera til the very end!

This was the best Camera could do given it's current health:
I couldn't tell if this was a red squirrel or a chipmunk. We have a tiny little red squirrel roaming the neighborhood. He's no bigger than a large chipmunk. Twitchy little guy, fast as lightning. I'm thinking this might be him. Ok. Done. I'm so done.I'm trying, really.
